Counseling Services
All 58 of our community colleges offer a counselor or resources for students for academic, career and personal needs. See below for more immediate resources.
Disability Services
We work with all campus community members to provide access and eliminate barriers to physical, curricular, and web environments within the NC Community College System.
LGBTQIA+ Students
All students deserve a safe, inclusive learning space where they can be themselves. We promote equality, visibility and inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Minority Male Initiative
We focus on improving the academic progress and completion rates of minority male students through educational programming, success coaches and early alert systems.
Veteran Services
We work with every branch of the United States military to offer veterans, retirees, and active duty personnel access to education and professional development.
Suicide Prevention
If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide or in emotional distress, please reach out to a trusted mental health professional or contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline by dialing or texting 988 or calling 1-800-273-8255 for immediate assistance.

Mental Health First Aid
Some of our community colleges offer Mental Health First Aid continuing education. This course is a skills-based training session that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. Many of our faculty and staff have completed this course in an effort to support our students.
Transportation Assistance
Need a ride? Our campuses work with area transportation services to connect students to the classroom on a regular basis.
Food Pantries
If you are experiencing food insecurity, find out how your local community college can help.
Childcare
Many System campuses offer childcare services for students, faculty, staff and the general public.
Additional Resources
Many of our community colleges also offer on-campus access to career clothing, technology assistance, laptop and hotspot rentals, and more. Check with your local college to learn more.
Additionally, we work with FindHelp.org to help connect students to financial assistance, food pantries, medical care and other free or reduced-cost help.
