Davidson-Davie Community College is a comprehensive, open-admission, public two-year college and is the only institution of higher education in Davidson and Davie counties. The college serves approximately 12,000 students each year. Accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Davidson-Davie offers over 40 degree and diploma programs, including the Associate in Arts, the Associate in Science and the Associate in Applied Sciences degrees. In addition, the college provides a variety of non-credit programs including Adult Basic Education, High School Equivalency, and English as a Second Language. Davidson-Davie also offers a variety of Continuing Education and Workforce Development programs, including nearly 50 state and national certification credential opportunities and more than 150 topics for industry licensure preparation, improving previously acquired skills, gaining new skills, and personal growth and general interest.
