Dr. Ray Russell is a retired computer science professor, having served for 30 years at Appalachian State University and previously at three other universities. Dr. Russell is a former NC State House Representative and a current Watauga County Commissioner. He founded raysweather.com, inc., in 2000 and is still president of the company. His wife of 45 years, Rhonda, teaches in the Department of Child and Family Studies at Appalachian State University.
