Ms. Julie Ryan

Julie Ryan serves as the director of governmental affairs for the N.C. Department of Labor. Ryan is a native of Rochester, New York but has called North Carolina her home for the past 25 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in applied science from the Rochester Institute of Technology. She previously worked eight years at the N.C. General Assembly as the legislative assistant for Commissioner Dobson. In addition, Ryan has served as vice president of sales and marketing for a family-owned residential building company serving the Triangle area market. Previous work experience also includes 10 years with Xerox Corp. as a major accounts contract manager and a sales and marketing manager, consulting with the companies’ major accounts across North Carolina.
