About
Dr. Shirley Carraway is a retired superintendent with more than 30 years in public education. After retiring she led a university leadership program, was the principal investigator for a College of Education grant, was an educational consultant with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, and served as an executive coach for new superintendents. Prior to coming to the board, she was a trustee for a local community college.
